An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) for locum Social Workers. We’re a friendly and dynamic team who are working hard to embed research and best practice into all we do. EDS is a service which provides an opportunity for social workers to enhance and develop their skills in almost all areas of child social work practice. No two shifts are ever the same!

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic practitioners who can provide a relational approach to supporting children and their families out of hours.
You will have the following:
• Ability to be flexible and creative.
• Ability to make recommendations for action in relation to complex situations including those where there may be significant risks.
• Innovative and capacity to problem solve, combined with a passion for restorative practice.
• In depth knowledge of social work practice within child protection.
• Capacity to commit to one shift per month. Weekend shifts include Saturday and Sunday 09:00 -17:00 pm and Friday 16:00 – 22:00pm.
• Your own transport.

• Shifts paid at SCP33 plus 20% unsocial hours enhancement and 12.1% holiday pay – All claimed through Temp Solutions.
