A position has become available in the School Transport Team for a Senior Transport Co-ordination Officer.
The post is within the team managing the home to school transport for passengers attending a mainstream educational setting.
The team currently consists of six Transport Co-ordination Officers. Their roll involves assessing entitlement to education funded transport, implementing suitable transport, processing appeal requests and managing the transport networks.
Duties for the Senior Transport Co-ordination Officer (STCO) include supervising the team, being the first point of contact for team members and escalated cases, training staff, supporting the team with decision making for high-cost transport arrangements, and deputising for the Team Leader.
There are 3 education transport teams consisting of the Mainstream transport team, SEND transport team and Network Review transport team. While each of the teams roles vary, they support each other to carry out the varying tasks to ensure service requirements are met.
