The Senior Data and Quality Assurance Officer (Data Technician) leads a team responsible for two specific areas.
- For ensuring data quality of case management systems and datasets allowing the Local Authority to always be Government Inspectorate (Ofsted) compliant and inspection ready.
- Managing a customer helpline and support service for business systems within Children’s Services.
What you'll be doing
The role requires a good understanding of the importance of performance data and reporting. You will be responsible for managing data tidy activity across the Local Authority and partner organisations.
You will work closely with Business Systems, Business Intelligence and Management Information Teams within the Business Systems and Intelligence department, who generate data errors and the role will directly or will provide guidance to correct these within the team or communicate changes needed back to the service.
You will become accustomed to utilising reporting from several different sources, including centralised data, Statutory Returns, Power Bi and Excel spreadsheets.
You will learn how these different reporting sources intertwine and note anomalies between them and highlight
these so they can be investigated.
The role will be hybrid but initially you will be required to be in the office for training and then office attendance will be required once a week.
