The Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate SENDCo to lead SEND in our school from June. The working pattern will be Thursdays and Fridays initially, with the possibility of growing the role in September.
You will:
- Lead early identification, provision planning and SEND processes
- Coordinate EHCP reviews, statutory timelines, and multi‑agency work
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families
- Support teachers to deliver inclusive, trauma‑informed, and regulation‑aware practice
- Champion neurodiversity‑affirming approaches across the school
- Maintain clear, organised SEND records and contribute to whole‑school provision mapping
- Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to ensure a coherent, relational approach to inclusion
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher with the NASENCO qualification (or working towards it)
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, statutory duties, and inclusive practice
- Experience with trauma‑informed, attachment‑aware, or regulation‑informed approaches
- A neurodiversity‑affirming mindset and commitment to celebrating children’s strengths
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
- A relational, child‑centred approach aligned with Park School’s ethos
- Organisational clarity, warmth, and professional curiosity
