Procurement and Contracts Officer (Estates) - Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust
- Devon
- Full Time
- Grade F - G £33,699 - £39,863 plus pay award pending (depending on skills and experience)

We are an ambitious and inclusive Trust of schools strengthening communities through excellent education.
Better contracts. Stronger schools. Greater impact.
At Ted Wragg Trust, we know that great education starts with great environments. Safe, well managed schools help children thrive.
We're looking for an ambitious Procurement and Contracts Officer to help shape and strengthen our estates service across a growing family of schools.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact across one of the South West's most ambitious Trusts while developing your own expertise and career.
About the role
This is a particularly exciting time to join the Trust as we prepare for the transition of our four Private Finance Initiative (PFI) schools into direct Trust management. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the commercial and contractual aspects of this journey and help shape our future estates service.
Working within the Procurement team and alongside our Estates colleagues, you will support and deliver procurement activity, manage supplier performance and help ensure that contracts deliver value, quality and compliance across the Trust. Your work will help us make the most of every pound invested in our schools, creating better learning environments for thousands of children.
As Procurement and Contracts Officer (Estates), you will take responsibility for Estates-related procurement and contract management activity, supporting maintenance, compliance and capital investment programmes. You will help secure high-quality services, drive value for money, manage supplier performance and provide reporting, analysis and recommendations to the Procurement and Estates leadership teams.
About you
You will be someone who is excited to make a difference to children’s lives, with social justice at your core. You will be ambitious, selfless and collaborative, with strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to build effective relationships with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
Don't let every requirement stop you applying
We recognise that strong candidates do not always come from identical backgrounds. Experience in education, multi-academy trusts or PFI contracts is desirable, but not essential. If you have experience in public sector procurement, contract management, estates, facilities management, compliance, housing or a related field, we would love to hear from you. Support and training will be provided to help the successful candidate build expertise in Trust-specific areas.
Why join Ted Wragg Trust?
At Ted Wragg Trust, people come first. You will join an ambitious and inclusive organisation where your work will have a tangible impact across our schools every day. You will be part of a collaborative team committed to continuous improvement, professional excellence and creating outstanding environments for education. Through the Ted Wragg Institute, you will also have access to high-quality professional development and leadership opportunities.
As well as the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the Trust's future, this post includes membership of the excellent Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), with generous employer contributions that provide significant long-term financial and retirement benefits.
