We have an opportunity for a Foundation Stage Practitioner to lead our Nursery provision at Dolton Church of England school during an exciting moment in the school’s journey. The school is currently part of the Alumnis Multi Academy Trust; however, the school will be transferring to the Learning Academy Partnership in 2026.
Nestled within the North Devon countryside, Dolton is a village school with a strong sense of community; we value the strong relationships we have with our families and work in partnership to support our children to flourish. Just a 35-minute drive from Okehampton, we make the most of our rural location and our incredible outdoors spaces.
At Dolton, we pride ourselves on providing every child with a rich and engaging curriculum grounded in our Christian values. Our vision is:
‘Together we nurture, love and learn whilst inspiring changemakers’
Are you passionate about making a difference to the youngest members of our school community? Are you driven to ensure that every child achieves their best no matter what their starting point? Do you possess excellent communication skills and relish the challenge of developing the Nursery provision? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Our Nursery is a safe, happy, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and have fun. Through play, they practise new skills, investigate the world around them and challenge themselves to succeed. Our team of expert practitioners nurture the children’s characters, building the foundations of confidence, resilience and a love of learning.
We are looking a Level 3 Foundation Stage Practitioner to work three days per week who understands how young minds learn and can support a team of dedicated Early Years colleagues. We are looking for someone who will ensure that our most underserved pupils receive the very best education and will help develop the very best provision for our youngest children.
This will be a great opportunity to also be part of a wider team who develop practice and share expertise for the benefit of all children. By working collectively as a family of schools with a shared responsibility for all children, we empower each other to deliver an exceptional curriculum offer that is fully rooted in our Christian values.
At the Learning Academy Partnership, our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.
