Required to start April 2019.

The Headteacher and Governors of Southmead Primary School are seeking to appoint an EYFS teacher to work alongside our existing EYFS team or an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher.  You must be a good or outstanding teacher with excellent subject knowledge.  We are proud to have a dynamic, friendly, ambitious team with a "can do" attitude.  We work hard, challenge and support one-another and take responsibility for the standards our children achieve whilst in our classes. Children have fun learning and we aim to build confidence and  a love of learning. We encourage children to make positive relationships and make contributions to their community at every stage of life.

We are working in an 'area of outstanding beauty', have extensive grounds and community sports facilities.  Our curriculum is stimulating, relevant to life in our Global community in the 21st century.  If you are a reflective practitioner, with energy and a sense of fun, we would love to hear from you.

Southmead Primary is an inclusive school and the children are at the heart of everything we do. All staff are encouraged to build positive relationships with children, parents and visitors to the school.

Please state your curriculum strengths in your application or letter.

Visits to school are welcomed - please contact the School Business Manager, Allison Drescher on 01271 812448 ext 217 to arrange this.

Application forms can be downloaded from the school website www.southmead.devon.sch.uk.
Completed application forms should be addressed to the headteacher and returned with a covering letter (no more than 2 sides A4) to adrescher@southmead.devon.sch.uk.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
