The Cornerstone Academy Trust is responsible for Broadclyst and Westclyst Community Primary Schools, and will be opening another new school in the Monkerton area of Exeter. It utilises its academy freedoms to deliver an enriched and exciting project-based, problem solving curriculum. This is an exciting time to join a growing academy trust, as we grow from two to three schools.
In addition to Broadclyst being rated as an ‘Outstanding’ school by Ofsted, we are a Teaching School, a Microsoft Showcase School and an approved Academy Sponsor.
We are looking to recruit a number of class teachers for September 2018 to be based across the schools in Early Years, KS1 or KS2. There are a mix of permanent and fixed term posts available, with the fixed term posts ending in 2019.
We wish to employ inspiring and professionally thoughtful teachers who must be able to use a range of teaching styles and appropriate strategies to meet the needs of all children. The successful candidates will need to be both creative and passionate about learning. They must have high expectations for childrens’ outcomes in the core subjects which are delivered across a broad and balanced curriculum. They will need to use ICT in a fully integrated way as a tool as we are internationally recognised for this.
We offer an exciting extended and enriched curriculum and expect teachers to fully engage in the provision of these, whether they be through residential trips or after school activities.
As an employer, we offer our employees access to a health scheme, a cycle to work scheme, as well as subsidised meals. You will be provided with modern IT equipment to help fulfil your duties as well as a PE kit.
Please state your preferred age range in your application.
Visits to the school are welcome by prior arrangement.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for these posts.
A job description and an application form can be obtained from www.bcps.org.uk/vacancies.
Your completed application form should be returned by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
