What is the Talent Pool?
The Talent Pool works similarly to an agency or job board, allowing our managers to search for their requirements and be provided with relevant CVs. Think of it like a job board – you upload your CV for recruiters to contact you about relevant jobs. Ours functions exactly the same, except ours is exclusive to Devon County Council and our public sector partners.
Is the Talent Pool for me?
Our roles attract great candidates, and not all of them can be successful in getting the role they applied for. If you’ve narrowly missed out in a recent recruitment round and would like to be considered for something similar, the Talent Pool keeps your application handy for future opportunities.
You may be interested in temping but find it difficult finding suitable placements. The Talent Pool allows our Temp Solutions team to contact you when the ideal temporary role comes up; saving you the hassle of registration unless it’s required.
Or you may be looking for something more permanent – by joining the Talent Pool, managers have your CV and contact details at their fingertips when they’re filling a vacancy. If you seem like a good fit for their role, they’ll get in touch and tell you to apply.
What skills/experience are you looking for?
There’s a whole host of different opportunities available with Devon County Council and our partners. From IT and HR, to adult social care and highways, there’s plenty of roles to suit a wide range of candidates. However, there are some roles which we have a particular need to recruit for:
- Care and Support Assistants
- IT roles
- Administrators and PAs
- Lawyers with Childrens Social Care experience
How do I join?
With minimal effort! If you’re already registered with Devon Jobs, you can just press “Apply Now” , select your skills and preferences, and upload your CV.
How often will I be contacted?
We’ll only contact you about relevant roles, based on the skills and preferences you select. If there’s no suitable vacancy, we won’t bother you.
Who will see my CV?
Your data is protected under GDPR regulations and is only accessible by Devon County Council managers and our recruitment team.
Please ensure you upload a copy of your CV in a Microsoft Word or PDF format. Applications without a CV, or that have a CV uploaded in an incorrect format, cannot be accepted.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
