An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency Planning Officer to join our existing team and contribute to the assurance for Devon County Council and our communities on our emergency planning, training and exercising in response to national and regional risks and incidents. You will provide initial response to, and advise on recovery from, major incidents, directly through a duty rota system and in support of the wider team. You will be an experienced Emergency Planner, able to confidently examine national and regional learning and provide recommendation to senior officers of relevant local mitigations or controls. You will have demonstrated leadership in training to peers and communities (including volunteers) and have excellent communication and partnership skills, along with a track record of team working.
