We are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Sous Chef to support our Chef here at Cornerstone Academy Trust. Our well-renowned dining service provides meals for Broadclyst, Westclyst and Clyst St Mary Primary Schools’ pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing multi-academy trust as we move towards the opening of new school buildings in Westclyst, and a brand new school in Monkerton in September 2020. The catering team are responsible for the provision of high quality meals for up to 500 pupils and staff daily. We also offer a service to parents through the Academy Café which provides families the chance to enjoy a drink, snack or meal after school.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible, reliable and creative. We would like to employ someone who enjoys good food and will embrace the school’s aim to deliver a ‘family dining’ experience, with nice home cooked, seasonal food served to the table. Ideally, we wish to employ someone who can also demonstrate skills in baking cakes and treats.

This is a permanent position with a 9 month probationary period. We are wishing the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. The post is Monday to Friday, the day begins at 8am and finishes at 5.30pm. There is a 30-minute break during the day.

If you feel that you are the person that we are looking for we would welcome your application. Please email your completed application to vacancy@tcat.education.

Visits to the school welcome by prior arrangement.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for these posts. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Job description, the person specification and an application form can be obtained either from the school on 01392 461288 or at http://www.tcat.education/vacancies
