For this role: You will be required to work between operating the Shaldon golf hut and in resorts across a range of sites.
What you'll be doing: Duties include walking and completing checks of the sites, litter picking, emptying all bins including dog waste, cleaning duties, sweeping, shovelling sea fronts along with other related duties across the sites in all weather conditions. You will be working outside on our coastline keeping our beaches and seafront areas clean and safe and performing a range of duties. You will be walking long distances of up to 10 miles a day on various terrain and must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
You will be working on your own but as part of a wider team to run the Shaldon Golf facility. This will involve taking payments using our computer and till system for customers using the course.
Lone working will be a key aspect of the role and you must be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Who we're looking for: To be successful in this role, you will need to be an effective team player and have excellent customer care skills. Previous experience of working with the public and outside and/or manual work is also essential for this role. Lone working will be a key aspect of the role and you must be confident and assertive in your ability to complete your daily tasks. You will need to have a good level of literacy and numeracy for this role.
We are looking for someone that is available to work on a shift basis, working weekends and bank holidays on a casual basis.
