Horwood Coombe Inspire Ltd is an Equine Centre, Forest School and Post 16 Educational Provision. Our principal aim is to benefit the local and wider community in terms of opportunity, education, employment, environment and social inclusion. All our students come with various abilities, disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.

We enable them to ground themselves, whilst also developing confidence to flourish and the resilience to find their place in this world.
We are now recruiting a Part Time Tutor to join our team. You will be highly skilled in delivering programmes of learning and qualifications to young people with complex needs. These will include Btec qualifications, based on equine studies and outdoor learning, Workskills, Functional Skills English and Maths. The majority of delivery is 1:1. We have a maximum of ten students on site a day.
As Part Time Tutor you will build strong, positive relationships with a variety of people and have effective communication skills, as liaising with other professionals, schools and parents/carers will be involved. You will have a proven track record of developing curriculum to support students with complex needs and background in safeguarding to act as our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
The role is part time, 4 days a week, with the option to work full time dependent on relevant skill sets. You may be a qualified teacher, FE tutor or an experienced HLTA. The post holder will work with a friendly and dedicated team and have the support of the Btec Quality Nominee and our Education Advisor. Must have access to own vehicle and be comfortable with using it to transport students as part of the role.
As the Exceptions (Amendment) Order 1986 to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 applies to this post, the post holder will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS.
20 days holiday, plus standard public holidays, pa (pro rated for part time) to be taken outside of term time.
