Marland is a successful all age (KS1-4) special school for students with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It is located across four sites; Peters Marland, Barnstaple, Central Bideford and East of the Water, Bideford. This post will be based at Marland Residential School, Peters Marland, Torrington.
The overall Marland group of schools are currently graded as 'Good' by Ofsted Education, with the residential care provision separately judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted Social Care inspectorate. Our overarching ethos is based around personalisation and meeting the needs of each individual child. We utilise 'THRIVE' based social and emotional development at the core of everything we do.

The post involves supporting students in the classroom and during many varied off-site activities, so a willingness to work in a range of learning environments is essential. You will need to be an effective communicator who is skilled at building relationships and passionate about helping young people develop socially, academically and emotionally.
Ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
