Teaching Assistant - Hazeldown School

The Governors of Hazeldown Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can be flexible to work across year groups but would predominately be supporting pupils with additional needs in both Year 3 and Year 6. The fixed term contract will end on 31 August 2026.
The post is fixed term as it is linked to SEND funding. As such, the role is subject to the pupil’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special educational needs.
We are seeking a nurturing individual with high expectations, a strong understanding of restorative practice, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues alike. An understanding of how to support children with a range of needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, is desirable.
You will:
- Have experience or familiarity with primary education, ideally across different age groups.
- Be keen to learn, develop professionally, and contribute towards achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
