The LIBRA School is dedicated to the care and education of young people (aged 5-18) who display severe emotional and behavioural problems and who all have special educational needs. We currently have vacancies for Residential Child Care Officers available due to expansion.

Many working options available:
- Full time (48 hours followed by 4 days off - rolling rota pattern)
- Part time (1 x 24 hour shift per week)
- 2 set days per week with some weekend shifts
- Fridays and Saturdays
- Saturdays only
- Sundays only
- Saturdays and Sundays

The rate of pay is £197.04 per 24 hour shift. Full time post equates to £23,644.80 per annum. Extra shifts available. For those working Saturdays and Sundays only, the shift rate of pay is £225 per 24 hour shift.

Ideally, you will have a L3 Diploma or a similar qualification working with children and young people. We will consider applicants with either strong relevant experience/qualities who require training.

We are looking for dedicated people interested in supporting children in residential homes in and around North Devon and West Somerset. If you enjoy an active work lifestyle supporting children to make a difference to their lives and are adaptable, flexible, self-motivated and can drive a manual car then we would like to hear from you.

Libra is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including reference checks with past employers. This post is identified as being within the scope of Regulated Activity and requires a cleared Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Agency. As such, all previous criminal convictions deemed to be expired under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act are required to be declared, this may not negate the applicant from being appointed.
