The Cornerstone Academy Trust is responsible for Broadclyst, Westclyst and Yeo Valley Primary Schools and will be opening another new school in the Monkerton area of Exeter. It utilises its Academy freedoms to deliver an enriched and exciting project-based, problem-solving curriculum.

Now is an exciting time to become part of the Yeo Valley team, as well as the wider Cornerstone staff.

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated and professional Early Years Practitioner to work alongside our EYFS Leaders to support children in all areas of the curriculum. You will also assist in the preparation of the learning environment, liaising with parents, maintaining pupil records and carrying out a range of classroom based administrative tasks. Relevant experience of working with early years children and relevant qualifications are required (e.g. NVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher).

The position is permanent and will commence in September 2019. Core working hours are 32.5 per week, starting at 8.30am, finishing at 3.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. The core role is term time only plus an additional two weeks including the five non-pupil days, but we are keen to know if you would also be interested in any all-year round work should we be able to expand the Nursery provision to operate out of term time during the school holidays.

The actual salary will be adjusted to reflect the hours per week and the weeks per year. The pay scale allows for progression within the role in line with our appraisal and professional development processes. Starting salary will depend of experience. There is an option of joining the local government pension scheme, benefitting from a cycle to work scheme and a health benefits package.

We are looking for the candidate to start in September and will therefore be interviewing during the holiday period as and when suitable candidates apply.
